Health CareVan is a weeklong event taking place in Silicon Valley, California, October 24-29, 2010. Here Danish health IT and medical device companies, public health representatives and university researchers come together to discuss the future of health care and share best practices with California counterparts, while gaining valuable insights to US market opportunities and discovering trends and new technologies coming out of one of the world’s most innovative environments; Silicon Valley.
The CareVan kicks off on October 24 with a bicycle trip across the Golden Gate Bridge led by minister of interior and health, Mr. Bertel Haarder. This event is followed by a week of activities, including:
• A two-day Future of Health Innovation conference at Stanford University in close collaboration with the leading Silicon Valley networking organization, SDForum.
• A full day interactive seminar for company participants covering US market and partnership opportunities, investment possibilities and more.
• A health design workshop for public participants organized and hosted by the world renowned design firm, IDEO.
• A full day Health IT seminar for researchers organized in collaboration with CITRIS at UC Berkeley
• Visits to leading health care providers and technology firms in and around the San Francisco Bay Area, including Kaiser Permanente, Cisco and more
• Plenty of networking opportunities at evening receptions and other events
